RigSpan / Privacy policy
Privacy & inquiry information.
How information moves from the website to WhatsApp and into an equipment enquiry.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This notice covers rigspan.com, its enquiry preparation tools and how RigSpan handles information you choose to send for equipment sourcing and procurement coordination.
The key points.
- Preparing an enquiry creates a summary in the page; it does not submit the form to RigSpan.
- Opening a summary-based WhatsApp link passes the prepared text to WhatsApp for a pre-filled chat. You decide whether to send the message.
- Enquiry information sent to RigSpan can be forwarded to suppliers involved in responding to the enquiry.
- Local copies of chat and quotation records are kept on an ongoing basis, without a fixed automatic deletion date.
1. Information used to prepare an enquiry.
The home-page and contact-page forms use the details you enter to create a readable summary in your browser. The contact form has equipment quotation, procurement services, parts and agency / dealer enquiry topics.
- Required fields are your name, email address, country / destination and project requirements.
- Equipment selection is included in the summary. The contact page also supports an optional company name, application and WhatsApp / phone number.
- The home-page form includes equipment interest and an optional WhatsApp / phone number.
Clicking Prepare Inquiry validates the fields and displays the summary. Preparing the summary does not submit the entered details to RigSpan, a supplier or a CRM. There is no file-upload field.
The page scripts do not save enquiry contact details or requirements to cookies, local storage or session storage. Your browser may independently offer autofill, restore page contents or retain browsing information; those features depend on your browser and device settings.
2. Opening WhatsApp and sending the message.
| Your action | What happens |
|---|---|
| Prepare Inquiry | The entered details are used in the page to create a summary. No enquiry message is submitted. |
| Continue in WhatsApp | The prepared summary is included in the WhatsApp link and passed to WhatsApp when you open it, even before you press Send. |
| Send in WhatsApp | You send the message to the configured RigSpan WhatsApp contact. WhatsApp handles transmission and account-related information under its own policies. |
| Direct WhatsApp links | These open the configured chat; some contain a generic product or enquiry message. They do not automatically copy everything typed in a form. |
The current enquiry recipient is WhatsApp +86 18603261208. Review the number and message before sending. Opening WhatsApp is a separate step from sending a message to RigSpan.
Because pre-filled text is carried in a link, WhatsApp receives that text when the link is opened. The link or draft may also be retained in your browser history or by the receiving application. Avoid including passwords, payment-card data, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information in an enquiry summary.
WhatsApp’s click-to-chat guidance explains pre-filled links. Its privacy terms can differ by region; consult the version that applies to you: WhatsApp click-to-chat help and WhatsApp Privacy Policy.
3. Copies, downloads and drawings.
Download Summary creates a text file on your device. On the contact page, Copy Summary asks the browser to place the summary on your clipboard; if copying is unavailable, you can select it manually. These actions do not send the summary to RigSpan.
You control downloaded files and clipboard copies. Other people, applications, device backups or clipboard-history features with access to your device may retain them. Deleting a page or closing a tab does not delete downloaded files or copies you made.
If you choose to send drawings, photographs or other attachments later in WhatsApp, they become part of that conversation. Only share information you intend to include in the enquiry and have permission to provide.
4. Equipment comparison choices.
The product catalogue uses browser session storage to remember up to three selected equipment identifiers for comparison. This stores model identifiers, not the name, email, phone number or project requirements entered in an enquiry form.
Use the catalogue’s comparison controls to remove selections. You can also clear this site’s data through your browser. Session storage normally relates to the current tab / browsing session; browser session-restoration behaviour can vary. The comparison feature does not submit the stored identifiers as an enquiry.
5. When RigSpan receives your enquiry.
After you send a WhatsApp message, RigSpan receives the message and the contact / profile information made available through that conversation. This can include the summary, contact details, equipment choices, project requirements and any files you choose to send.
RigSpan uses enquiry information to understand the requested equipment or procurement task, communicate with you, seek technical clarification and prepare or coordinate quotations and follow-up.
As part of that work, enquiry information can be forwarded to the manufacturers or suppliers involved in responding. The material shared may include the contact and project details contained in your enquiry, equipment requirements, drawings and questions needed for quotation or technical confirmation. This is separate from the browser form: the website does not automatically forward a prepared summary to a supplier.
Identify confidential or restricted material before sharing it. You can ask which supplier is handling an enquiry and what information has been passed on. A supplier receiving information handles its own copies; this page does not describe or promise every supplier’s storage practices.
6. Local records and retention.
RigSpan currently keeps local copies of enquiry chats and quotation information on an ongoing basis for business reference and follow-up. There is no fixed routine retention period or scheduled automatic deletion date for these local records, so information may be retained long term.
This record handling is separate from the website form. Closing the page, clearing comparison selections or clearing your browser does not delete a message already sent to RigSpan, a local chat / quotation copy, or material already shared with a supplier.
You can contact RigSpan to ask about records relating to your enquiry and request a review, correction or deletion. Any limits to a request, including records connected with an active quotation or transaction, need to be clarified when the request is reviewed. This website cannot delete copies held by WhatsApp, suppliers, your device or other recipients.
7. Requests made when you browse the website.
Loading a page or file involves sending technical request information to the website’s hosting and delivery infrastructure. This can include your IP address, requested address, date / time and browser-related request headers. Hosting or security systems may maintain access or security records; this notice does not assign an unverified storage location or log-retention period.
The inspected site templates and scripts do not include an analytics, advertising-pixel or behavioural-tracking integration. The site scripts do not set cookies. This describes the current website implementation, rather than a promise that your browser, hosting infrastructure or external services never process technical data.
8. Fonts, WhatsApp and other external links.
The website loads Big Shoulders Display and IBM Plex Sans through Google Fonts. Your browser can request font styles and files from Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address to deliver them. The enquiry forms do not attach your entered name, email or project summary to these font requests. See Google Fonts privacy information and Google Privacy Policy.
WhatsApp is an external service. Its handling of account details, messages, linked devices, backups and international processing is governed by its applicable terms and settings. See the WhatsApp Privacy Policy. Other supplier or reference links take you to separate websites with their own practices.
The current public enquiry channel is WhatsApp. No public enquiry email address is configured, and the contact page does not currently offer an active email-send action.
9. Privacy questions, corrections and deletion requests.
Contact RigSpan through WhatsApp +86 18603261208 or use the contact page to prepare a message. State that your request concerns privacy and identify the relevant conversation or quotation. Provide enough information to locate the records without sending unnecessary sensitive documents.
You can ask about the enquiry information held or shared, request a correction, ask for local records to be reviewed for deletion, or explain a restriction you want considered before further supplier coordination. Any information needed to verify and handle the request can be discussed in that conversation.
Manage WhatsApp account and backup information through WhatsApp’s own settings and help resources. Downloaded files, clipboard entries and browser data on your device need to be managed on that device.
10. Updates to this notice.
This notice was updated on 17 October 2026 following a review of the live website flow and confirmation of supplier sharing and local chat / quotation retention. If the enquiry channel, storage behaviour, supplier-sharing arrangements or tracking integrations change, the notice should be updated to describe the new process.
